Incoming, Destination & Event Management is a relatively
young company in terms of years of operation, having been
established in Majorca 10 years ago, but in terms of experience
our 5 locally based owners working in the company on a daily
basis have over a hundred years of tourism experience between
them with such companies as Thomas Cook, Aldiana, LTU, Go
America, NUR and are multilingual, as well as native speakers.
Yet we are nonetheless of the opinion that experience is
not the be-all-and-end-all and statements such as “it
doesn’t work….we’ve tried that before…that’s
the way the others doe it too…” or “that’s
the way we’ve always done it” are strictly taboo
– and not just at our weekly meetings! Having said that,
our overall concept has been developed on the basis of experience
– experience gained by us in various with large international
tour operators, small specialists, in purchasing, in sales
or on the administrative side even. Each of us takes full
responsibility for his or her customers, from acquisition
to delivery. Everyone is, above all, the product manager,
monitoring quality and performance across the board.
It is therefore logical that customer service at destination,
whether meeting on arrival or on-going daily contact, is always
carried out by the same person. You and your customer have
one and the same contact in any situation, at any time. Only
the company administration is a central function and this
is discussed at each meeting with a view to improving it if
and where necessary.
Because that has to happen from time to time, due to the
simple fact that none of us lays claim to being the “inventor
of tourism”. Direct contact with our customers in the
past has led to suggestions for improvement of our service
which have been taken on board and implemented in our day
to day activity. After all, there is one thing we have all
learned: SATISFIED CUSTOMERS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ASSET.
This means that our dedicated staff have to be close to the
customer and the customers’ requirements.
